Getting Started

The best way to determine if you qualify to donate is to visit the Octapharma Plasma donation center nearest you for a quick and simple blood test. Your test results and physical exam will indicate whether your blood or antibodies can be utilized.

Donor Requirements

• You must be in good health, have suitable veins and be between the ages of 18 and 64.
• You must weigh at least 110 lbs.
• You must not have had ear piercing, body piercing, tattoos or permanent make-up in the last 12 months.
• You must have two pieces of identification, photo I.D., for example driver license, and proof of a Social Security number.
• You must have proof of current local address within the last 30 days. (A piece of mail postmarked by the U.S. Postal Service is acceptable proof of address.)
• You will be compensated for your time. The amount of compensation depends on the program for which you qualify.

Your antibodies are urgently needed for one of Octapharma's specialty antibody programs if you have Rh negative blood or if you have ever been immunized for Hepatitis B.
