(i) to certain third parties who are involved in fulfilling User’s requests. If required to fulfill the User’s request for information, contact details may be forwarded to offices outside of the United States.
(ii) to certain third parties who are involved in the development, maintenance, security and management of this website, to manage contracts and send out promotional messages on our behalf, to assist in improving the way this website works and looks and to facilitate the provisions of software updates and support related to any applications and to create new features.
(iii) to convert or combine some Personal Information into de-identified or aggregated data that does not disclose any of the Personal Information of any individual User, and may disclose any such de-identified or aggregated data without restriction.

Social Media Sites and Widgets
If you log onto this website through Facebook or a similar social media site (“Social Media Site”), certain information about you will be transferred to this website, and the fact that you have logged onto this website and some of that transferred information may be available to other users of the Social Media Site. Children Under the Age of 18

This website is hosted in the United States and our services are provided from the United States. It is possible that certain information will be stored on servers in multiple other countries on the “cloud” or other similar distributed hosting platforms. Additional Terms and Conditions
Octapharma Plasma Biometric Data
Octapharma Plasma, Inc., (“OPI”) uses an electronic signature based on your fingerprint to identify you. This Consent is subject to the terms and conditions of OPI’s Biometric Data Policy, a copy of which has been provided to you.
After you place a finger on the fingerprint sensor:
- The sensor will scan your finger.
- Scanned fingerprint images are used to create a number.
- This calculated number is your “electronic signature”.
- This electronic signature is specific to you.
- Your electronic signature is stored in the Donor Management Computer System at OPI and is used to identify you for future donations.
- Your electronic signature cannot be converted back into a fingerprint.
OPI does not store pictures or images of your fingerprint. All information from the fingerprint scan, except your electronic signature, is deleted.
- OPI does not use your electronic signature in any other program or for any other purpose.
- OPI will not share your electronic signature with any person or company unless:
- Required by law
- Required by a court order
- You tell OPI in writing
- OPI takes its privacy obligations seriously.
- OPI keeps your electronic signature safe.
- OPI stores, transmits, and protects your electronic signature the same way it stores, transmits and protects other private and sensitive information.
- OPI will permanently delete a Donor’s biometric data upon the written request of a Donor indicating that he/she will no longer donate plasma at any OPI center, so long as it is no longer needed by OPI in order to comply with any recordkeeping or records retention requirement of any regulatory agency such as the FDA. If it has been at least six (6) months since your last donation, you will be required to provide written consent to rescan your fingerprint for use in determining your electronic signature.
